Dealing with an Exam

For many years, an exam which is used by teachers to test their students’ knowledge has been an important part in education. An exam also shows how much the students can understand. To prepare for the test, the students have several ways which can be classified according to the users of the ways: the ways of hard-working students, the ways of lazy student and the ways of extraordinary students.

The hard-working students are the students who study truly for the exam. Their ways is to study every day, do homework carefully and complete it every night. Moreover, they keep the balance between studying and playing very well. Of course, they take the test faithfully. On the day before the exam, they keep on studying to review the lessons for the test. As a result, they usually get full marks in the exam. A few of them might get bad marks because of misunderstanding the question. But it is a fact that they can keep knowledge in their mind at length.

In contrast, the lazy students frequently use the faithless methods. They don’t like to study at all. Furthermore, they even play games or go out every day, so they have no time to do their homework. Therefore, they will copy their friends’ homework on the next day or do nothing. When taking the exam, they cheat by using the faithless methods such as copying their friend or asking them. Also, they might have written the answers on the table or a tiny piece of paper before. On the day before the exam, it is unbelievable that they still play. Some students prepare a small piece of paper with a lot of information on it to cheat for the next day. Other students make an effort to learn huge knowledge in such a short period of time. They even spend all night trying their best to study. Some students have faith in their fortunes; they just study some main ideas which they guess will be on the test. It’s a sure thing that they receive low scores in the exam. In some special situations, they get high score due to their luck. Someone can be punished if he or she is caught while cheating in the test. Sooner or later they will forget all the things they have learned.

The extraordinary students have their own ways. They are the students who have high IQs. They are really intelligent. Unfortunately, they don’t like studying or taking the exam. They are interested in reading books, researching or doing extremely difficult exercises. Nobody knows if these students can keep balance between studying and playing or not. When preparing for the exam, it is strange that they do nothing but continue doing anything they like. These actions look like the actions of the lazy students. Before the exam, they just barely look at the lessons. Then they frequently get good grades in the multiple-choice test or the logic exam, which needs their high IQ. However, they get poor grades on the test which requires them to have to remember exactly what they learned by heart. Only a few of them can get high grades in this test. It is hard to answer how long they can remember the knowledge because some students can remember it for a longtime, but some forget it easily.

There might be a lot of methods to prepare for the exam. Nevertheless, if you are a usual student, you should keep the balance between studying and playing. You should also take the exam sincerely. Do these things and you will certainly get good grades on the exam and keep the knowledge in your mind for a long time.
