First Time Going To School By Bus
The bus is one of the popular transportation most students use to go to college. When I came to the USA, it was the first time I had gone to college by bus. At that time, I got quite a few experiences from it.
As usual, I entered a website of King County Metro to plan a trip at home. Then I went to the nearest bus stop to travel to Downtown Seattle on bus 121 . Unfortunately, I missed the bus, so I had to wait for an hour before getting on the next bus. It was quite cold that morning, so I noticed time pass so slowly. Suddenly, I heard a bird singing somewhere. It made me remember about my childhood. I had walked to school and listened to birds which had been on the trees. Sooner or later, the next bus came to the bus stop where I was standing. I bought a ticket for the Youth with $1 instead of $0.75. It was explained that the bus driver didn’t have to give change to passengers. I felt very regretful, but there was nothing for me to do. I chose a window seat and sat down. The bus began to run. It really ran so fast that it made my stomach turn out. I shouldn’t have eaten so much at home. Twenty minutes later, I went to Downtown Seattle. The second task I had to do was to look the bus stop of the bus which would take me to the college. I found it rapidly. I got on another bus and showed my ticket. The bus continued to run. The feeling of worry appeared in my mind. More and more passengers got off the bus while I observed a very weird view. I sat in my seat until the last bus stop. I realized that I had gotten on the wrong bus. I was so astonished that I didn’t know what to do. Everything was strange to me. The fool may have a fortune; a beautiful girl with blonde hair who was carrying a cute pink bag had gotten on the wrong bus, too. As a result, I followed her to go to the right bus stop. I was very happy and felt like I was walking on air. Finally, I arrived to school late. It took me 2 hours instead of 35 minutes in my plan. If I had had one more chance, I wouldn’t have let it happen one more time.
It is said that failure is the mother of success. I really received a lot of experience from these failures. I learn that “the bus often comes to the bus stop on time”, “the passenger has to buy the ticket without getting change”, “I shouldn’t eat too much before getting on the bus”, and “I have to go to the accurate bus stop”. Now I go to college by bus easily and haven't gotten lost again.
